2007 BMW M3

So far the 2007 BMW M3 is just a speculation but with near certainty. Although no official press releases have been issued on a 2007 BMW M3, many sources anticipate the new BMW to be branded as the E90 and sport the first V8 in M3 history. This trend follows the Audi S4 when it stepped up from a twin turbo engine to a V8 used in the Audi A8. Though the engine will bring the wieght up, the newer lighter body style should give the estimated 400+ horsepower engine a higher power to weight ratio.

The M3 first debuted in the early 80s during the reign of the E30. Later in 1992, BMWs 3 series was redesigned and it wasnt til 1995 when a follow up M3 came to the market. As for the previous 3 series (E46), while it was released in 1999, it wasnt until two years later in 2001 that the current M3 became availible.

BMWs M sport division has been on the move with M6 and M5 releases as well as a Z4 coupe in the works. We estimate with the demand and popularity of the M series models, BMW will have the 2007 M3 ready to go by mid summer 2006.
