Beware of other distributors / shops / Internet sites using our name to sell the copy version kit that will not fit your car. Make sure you are getting the VERTICAL DOORS INC. Name brand. The copy version which is made in CHINA, the steel is really soft, and the doors will go out of adjustment after couple of months, which will eventually ruin your paint, and bend your fender, and may cause your door to even fall off. Just remember, you get what you pay for !

Q. Does the VDC kit replace my doors?
A. No it does not replace your doors. It only replaces your door hinges. You keep your original doors.
Q. How does the VDC kit function?
A. When inside you will grab the door handle of the car. Pulling the door toward you the door will open 12 - 18 inches like they do normally. From there the door will stop and not open horizontally any further. Once done you will now grab the bottom of the door and lift vertically. The door will then reach a certain point which it will not lift anymore. At this point you will be able to get in and out of the vehicle. In normal case the bottom back portion of the door will be higher than the roof of the vehicle.

From there the door will stop and not open horizontally any further. Once done you will now grab the edge of the door and lift vertically. The door will then reach a pre-determined point at which it will not lift anymore. At this point you will be able to get in and out of the vehicle. In normal case the bottom back portion of the door will be higher than the roof of the vehicle.

Q. What is the normal installation process?
A. During a normal installation you will remove the front bumper and front fenders. Once they are removed you will remove the old hinges that hold the door to the car. With those hinges being removed you will install the VDC hinges and then reinstall the fenders and the doors. It is as simple as that.

Do not take Door off during installation Please follow the detailed instruction manual step by step

We suggest you create a L Bracket during installation process

Make sure the mounting surface is flat as possible, if anything is there, grind the surface so the vertical door kit can sit and mount flat.

Make sure both allen screw adjustment on each system are adjusted accordingly.

Do not cut the wire extension that come with the kit. All wire extension are 14 inches.

The kit requires no modification, the kit is a bolt on, but MOST INNER FENDERS MUST BE ROLLED
